All through my last year of art school, thoughts deep into my work, I had strange dreams…I dreamt of figures and faces. They were lovely yet terrifying. Often flying and nude, these angels captured my vision each night and stayed with me throughout the day.

Eventually I started drawing them through reenactment – through self-portraits, portraits of others, portraits dressed and nude. All entered my canvas. And I brought all the fog and surrealism of my dreams into harmony with nude women and abstract faces, letting them fly, letting them melt, releasing them in my own style.

This painting came to life along with the other ones after we learnt about my cousin got pregnant alone while she studied abroad back in early 2000s. Who was with her when she got pregnant? Who help her get through that difficult time? Lots of questions, lots of tears from the family got repay with a beautiful baby!
