There are few young people in Duong Lam – only the elderly and small children. The old people at the market all share the same story that their children had gone to Hanoi for work, returning to visit on the occasional weekend. Life is tranquil. Each morning they take their grandchildren to preschool before heading to the market for work. At noon they say their goodbyes and promise to see each other the next day.
